UNITY 2080 is a realtime editor for the Roland JV-1080/2080 synthesizer modules. As it's its name indicates, the program maintains a realtime MIDI-based connection between the PC and the JV module. It offers a more friendly user interface that considerably eases user's work. The interface is not intended to be too spectacular, but still requires a 1024x768 display so that the instrument's vast amount of parameters can be easily and quickly accessed on the screen. Editing a given parameter on the computer changes the corresponding data on the instrument without any delay. This is also true in the opposite direction.
