Transkriber plays the music you want to learn on your computers CD player (or on an external CD or tape player hooked up to your sound card). Record as much music as you want using the recording panel. Then, play the music back at whatever speed, 3/4, 2/3, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, ...1/26 of the original speed without changing the pitch. Transkriber was designed to support beginning to advanced musicians.

- Phrase selection. Several intuitive phrase selection methods allow you to focus on one part of the music at a time.
- Different slow down algorithms, tuning and smoothing filters. You can configure the slow down mechanism to your own taste.
- Built-in equalizer and filters. Reinforce or remove certain frequency bands from the music so you can better focus on the part you are transcribing.
- Adjust the pitch to match exactly the recording you are using.
- Transpose the sound up or down as much as an octave.
- The pitch generator identifies which note is being played on the recording without the need to go back to your instrument.
