SynthEdit is a modular software analog synthesizer that allows you to create complex synthesis engines that can work in real-time or off-line. This shareware program has developed a large and enthusiastic user community, many creating plug in synths that are distributed for modest charges or for free. SynthEdit also provides a SDK that allows C++ programmers to add custom modules.

  • Several types of on-screen controls including List Entry, Patch Select, Slider, Switchers and Text Entry.
  • Process live audio. (requires full-duplex soundcard).
  • Play wave files and Soundfont-2 banks (basic support).
  • Record/Play multi-channel audio to disk as 11/22/33/44/48 kHz wave files
