The developers of Studio to Go! - the Linux Audio platform that runs on your Windows PC have now replaced a downloadable version of their software. Previously only available as a CD product you can now purchase the download edition from the Fervent Software website, download it via broadband, and burn your own CD-R of Studio to Go.

Studio to Go! is a suite of integrated music software that provides the ability to compose, record and mix on any PC without having to install any software. Studio to Go! runs from the CD and allows you to save compositions on your a portable storage device or straight on to your hard disk. This means you can use it any PC without worrying about compatibility problems or any fuss or mess!

Studio to Go! v1.50 includes the latest version of the classic Rosegarden sequencer, Ardour the digital audio workstation, a new look for the Hydrogen drum machine plus the loop base sequencing and sampling software. There is also much more audio software as well as tutorials and example files, soundfonts, VSTs and a complete integrated help system.

Studio to Go! allows you to compose, record and mix. All of the software included works together thanks to the JACK audio system.

You can buy the Studio to Go! v1.50 Download Edition for £44.99 GBP - requires broadband connection, 1GB of disk space and CD burning software. Alternatively you can order the Professional and Basic CD-based editions of Studio to Go! from the Fervent website.

Studio to Go! v1.50 works with most reasonably recent Windows[tm] PCs including Pentium and AMD desktops and notebooks:

Processor Type: Intel/AMD 32-bit or AMD64 in 32-bit mode

Processor Speed: 800MHz minimum; 1.2GHz recommended

RAM: 256MB minimum; 512MB recommended

Hard Disk: None to run from CD.

Minimum 2GB if you wish to install the system to hard disk.
