SimSynth 2 is a powerful sound synthesizer which can be used to generate "analog-style" samples and "riffs" using it's set of sound generators, envelopes, filters, effects and monophonic step sequencer. Most control adjustments can be previewed in real-time for easier sound creation and tweaking. The final output can then be rendered to wave file for use in other audio applications.
SimSynth 2 is the sequel to the original SimSynth sample synthesizer. It adds a whole slew of new features providing more flexibility and real-time controls for hearing your changes as they are made. Although the original version is older and less-featured, it is now freeware and definitely still worth checking out.
