Version 1.7
- This release sports a brand new MultiTrack engine under the hood with an enhanced version 1.4 API. The MultiTrack can now accept buffer manipulation of all kinds on any track in the MultiTrack or any output track... 24 bit or final res. Plug-ins may now freely withhold buffers or return smaller or larger buffers and SAWPro will still maintain sync across all tracks.
- A new option has been added to the Options Menu called MultiTrack Buffer Size Changes Allowed. When this option is active, the new MultiTrack engine is engaged and buffer size changes are allowed. All special considerations mentioned above are in effect. When this option is not active, the original MultiTrack engine is engaged, returning MultiTrack playback to the same as SAWPro 1.6.
- All FX plug-ins from IQS have been updated to the new version 1.4 API.
- The DirectXLinker has been enhanced to allow for complex algorithms, such as Sonic Foundry's Acoustic Mirror plug-in, to behandled LIVE in the MultiTrack. The Linker is now capable of dynamically allocating memory during the loop to handle massive buffer withholds and returns and synchronizing them back into the live MultTrack data stream.
- Position tracking during MultiTrack playback resolution has been increased by a factor of 10. This allows for much more acurate tracking of all position related timing events such as used by the AVI Viewer.
- Added display of Buffer-Size-Change notice to the title bar of the FX Patch Window containing the plug-in that is altering the size.
- Added Mix-Change Count display in the Seq View Title Bar... #Seq Entries/#Mix Changes.
- Paste To New File operations now retain the last filename when opening the dialog box on repetitive use of this function.
- Added a new Seq Ctrl Blank Entry command. This can be used for extending reverb trails or echoes without the problems of using a Break Entry which stops playback... it essentially creates a Blank Entry without having to mark and create a blank region in some soundfile. This can also be used for your Aux Return Tracks.
- Using the Shift Key when pressing a SOLO button will leave any plug-in return track active, so effects returns will still be heard.
- Fixed: Keep Take in SoundFile Record is now correctly trapped.
- Fixed: SMPTE Chase Trigger in SoundFile Record is now correctly trapped.
- Fixed: Corrected the Seq View Title Bar entry count updates that could be skipped under certain region manipulations.
- Fixed: Split Deletes or other region deletes that pull following data forward could cause EDL corruption when there were more than 3000 mix changes on any particular track. This has been corrected.
- Fixed: Fixed Loop Scrubbing.
- Fixed: The CrossFade routine has been altered to correctly keep fade-in volumes at mute until actual ramp up begins. Also FADE END points are now correctly established.
- Fixed: The Midi Hardware Setup Window, Sync Device In listbox now correctly uses the IQS font.
- Fixed: Undo and Redo Shortcut keys are correctlky trapped during Playback.
- Fixed: CustomRate Selection in the MultiTrack View now correctly opens the Enter Custom Rate Dialog Box.
- Fixed: Pressing Stop when in Trigger or Chase Trigger record mode with Auto End Detection enabled has been corrected and will no longer cause a program lockup.
- Fixed: Calibrate DC Offset has been adjusted to handle large marked areas in 20 and 24 bit files without returning large invalid results.
