Quaderno is a MIDI sequencer with some unique views, editors and controls. It has a combination of windows and functionality found in many other sequencers as well as a set of original ones that provide unique and useful ways of working with MIDI compositions. It can open and save standard MIDI files as well as a whole slew of proprietary formats for just about every editable element of a Quaderno sequence.
Quaderno's unique features and interface can be fairly difficult to figure out, especially if you are new to concepts of MIDI sequencing. The lack of on-line help makes learning the program even more difficult, but KO Studio's does provide examples and a tutorial which are available from the Product Download Page.

- Micro Editor - a unique way to view and edit a virtually unlimited number of MIDI events in a series of line graphs of a number of MIDI event parameters
- Note Editor - equivalent to the "piano-roll" found in other sequencers, allows you to edit individual MIDI note information in a pitch/time grid
- Orchestration - an original editor that provides a way to extraction and manipulate a sequence part's note, velocity, quantize, position, scale, duration and rhythm information
- Chords and Chord Grids - for creation of sequences of chords that can saved to libraries for later use and sent to patterns for use in the current sequence
- Musical Analysis - enables pattern and MIDI file analysis for chord succession generation and variation suggestions
- Harmonic Modulations - for creating harmonic "principles" that can be applied to patterns or sequence parts
- Composer - for generating sequences and creating musical ambiances of all styles by programming rhythm, dynamic, duration and note parameters
- Dynamics Pads - provides a window to real-time mouse input for changing velocities, durations, notes and rhythm
- Library - allows you to open, save and organize elements of MIDI compositions including: sessions, songs, modulations, modes, composers, rhythms, tracks, splits, real-time scales, quademos, etc.
- MIDI Setup - for setting up MIDI ports, devices/synths, MIDI filters and more
- MIDI Monitors - generates a variety of visual representations of a MIDI composition while it is played back
