Fruityloops 2.01 was released in early December with some major new features including live recording of all wheels and sliders, external MIDI control by Phatboy or a MIDI keyboard and a new and improved playlist.
Live Recording
FruityLoops TS-404 now supports live wheel recording. This means that you can 'live record' all the movements you make to any wheel or slider while your song is playing. When combined with the TS-404 option, it allows real, live TB-303 like bassline tweaking.
External MIDI Control You can assign just about any wheel or slider in Fruityloops to a knob on a controller. Just right-click on the wheel, turn the MIDI controller knob, press ok and you're set. You can move the wheel by turning the knob on your controller. This is great for live recording of the TS-404 wheels or the main volume, resonance and channel volumes.
After 'live recording' mouse or MIDI control movements, any changes you made can be edited in the graphical event editor.
New Playlist The new playlist window is completely revamped, making it easier to view and arrange your patterns into complete songs. Now it also fits right in with the rest of the program's unique look and feel.
All three versions of FruityLoops (Basic, Pro and TS404) as well as a sample CD, the Phatboy MIDI controller and sound card MIDI cables are available from the Fruity Products Order Form.
