Emagic Introduces ES1 Synthesizer - 12/01/1999

With the ES1, Emagic proudly introduces its first proprietary development in the field of virtual instruments. Outfitted with an innovative user interface, the ES1 provides subtractive synthesis that meets the classic analog ideals. It offers everything that made the analog synthesizer so famous: rich basic sound, punchy filters, flexible modulation possibilities and extremely fast envelopes. The ES1 integrates seamlessly within Logic's internal digital mixer; all plug-ins effects can be used and all parameters can be automated. The direct connection with the sequencing engine of the Logic System guarantees unsurpassed precision through sample-accurate timing that is superior to any external MIDI synthesizer.

The new ES1 is the first in a comprehensive range of virtual instruments for the Logic Series. As a real synthesizer, the ES1 offers extremely flexible tone generation that puts the entire palette of analog sounds at your disposal: earth-shaking basses, rich pads and textures, screaming leads, ultra-sharp percussion and exotic effects.

More synth
You don't get just one synthesizer with the ES1: dependent on your computer's performance you can use up to 8 ES1 instruments simultaneously in your Logic Audio program (MicroLogic AV, Silver, Gold and Platinum), each with up to 16 voices. In the hardware world, the same set-up would cost a small fortune but, together with this price advantage, the ES1 offers a huge timing advantage as well. Regardless of how many ES1 instruments you use, the seamless integration in Logic Audio provides sample-accurate timing that is superior to any MIDI hardware.

More sound
The audibly superior timing of the ES1 is only the beginning: every parameter can be completely automated. Furthermore, the ES1 has all the effect plug-ins of Logic's internal digital mixer at its disposal. And with Logic Audio Gold and Platinum, audio recordings can be routed into the ES1 and even used as modulation sources.

More fun
The elegantly designed ergonomic user-interface of the ES1 not only puts the fun back into experimenting with sound creation but will also impress you with its clear layout and unique new control elements that are only available in the virtual world of software. Thanks to these design details, getting to know the ES1 is simply child's play.

The ES1 runs in conjunction with any program from the Logic Series from Version 4.0 upwards and will be available from December 10th 1999 direct from Emagic distributors and from many specialist music dealers.

You can hear and learn more about the ES1 at Emagic's ES1 Product Page.
