YONKERS, N.Y., October 1, 1999 — Voyetra Turtle Beach, Inc. today announced the release of Music Write 2000 - Professional Edition, a powerful new software tool that integrates music notation with a full-featured MIDI sequencer. Music Write 2000 enables professionals to arrange, notate and print their music using up to 48 parts and 96 staves per score, while also offering advanced MIDI editing capability not found in competing notation products. Music Write 2000 is shipping with a MSRP of $179. Music Write 2000 offers several editor views which can be utilized for different aspects of score creation, including the Track Sheet, Score Editor, Piano Roll Editor, Mixer, Song Editor, Controller Editor, and Event List. To get started composing quickly, Music Write includes score templates with a preset number of tracks and defined clef and instrument ranges for common ensemble configurations. Some of Music Write's editing features include automatic transposition, time stretching, quantization, drum notation, guitar and bass tablature, chord symbols, multiple-verse lyric entry, and automatic harmony generation. MIDI editing capabilities include a 16-channel MIDI mixer, MIDI file compatibility, syncing to MIDI time code and SMPTE for scoring to video, and the unlimited use and recording of digital audio tracks. Music Write 2000 scores can be played back using any Windows-compatible sound card or MIDI interface. Printing on several different paper sizes is also supported. System requirements for Music Write 2000 include a Pentium 75 or higher running Windows 95/98 or NT, 16 MB of RAM, 16 MB of hard disk space, 640x480 256-color display, a 16-bit sound card, and 2x or higher CD-ROM drive.
