Voyetra Announces Audiostation 4.0 - 02/24/2000

HANNOVER, GERMANY, February 24, 2000 - Voyetra Turtle Beach, Inc. today announced that AudioStation(r) 4.0, the forthcoming version of its flagship PC audio control software, will be available for free Web download (www.voyetra.com) beginning this summer. This marks the first time that AudioStation, which was first released in 1992, will be available without charge.

"Although a number of audio jukebox applications have recently become available as free downloads, AudioStation pioneered many of the standard-setting features for such programs," said Carmine J. Bonanno, president and CEO, Voyetra Turtle Beach. "It has earned an enviable reputation for solid performance, resulting from our nearly 10 years of supporting OEM customers. AudioStation 4.0 offers significant enhancements that are indicative of our continuing effort to deliver pioneering products."

AudioStation 4.0 delivers end-to-end capture, management, playback, and output of digital music files. This includes the ability to import (rip) digital music from audio CDs, and then automatically convert the files to MP3 or WMA formats. Users can even receive help from the recording wizard for importing songs from analog (LP, tape, mic) sources.

In addition to playing popular file types such as MP3, WMA, WAV and MIDI, AudioStation 4.0 provides catalog and library functions - accessible via a multi-view interface with skin choices - for identifying and organizing songs. It also automatically downloads ancillary data, such as artist, album, track, and genre names, plus CD cover art.

Millions of copies of AudioStation have been bundled with leading PC systems over the past eight years, making it one of the world's most widely used digital jukebox players.
