FXpansion today announced the release of a new realtime vocoder plug-in, for PC VST and DirectX.

Priced at only $30, the RobotiK Vocoder uses high-performance assembler code to run in realtime on a Pentium 166MMX, or at just 20% CPU on a 333MHz Celeron "A". A fourteen-band design, it combines great sound quality with total ease of use.

RobotiK Vocoder can be used with pre-recorded sound sources, or, depending on your host application, both live inputs and virtual synthesizers. It is also available as part of the FXpansion Series One Bundle, priced at just $100 for six plug-ins.

A Macintosh VST version will be released shortly, and a version for BeOS is also planned.
