Description

Graphire Music Press is a professional music typesetting system that combines the features of a line-art graphics program, a page layout program, and a music notation expert system. It offers engraving-quality typography, automatic symbol positioning, automatic horizontal and vertical spacing, flexible page layout capabilities, sophisticated printing features, and seamless cross-platform compatibility.

Features

  • Note Entry - Entered with MIDI step-time entry or by typing using one of several keyboard layouts. Lyrics may be entered by typing directly onto the page, and are aligned and spaced automatically.
  • Editing and Manipulation - Done graphically using fast and accurate point-and-click operations supporting both automatic and manual positioning.
  • Customization - Most aspects of the look of the music, from large-scale layout parameters to line weights, are individually adjustable and can be saved as a profile for a particular style or client.
  • Printing - Pages may be automatically imposed into printer's spreads with automatic creep compensation, or into two, three, or four page accordion-fold spreads. Page View presents a faithful representation of the pages which can be printed on any Windows compatible printer.
  • Cross-platform Support - this means is that you can operate Music Press in a mixed environment (Macintosh and Windows) with no compatibility concerns.
  • The Revere Music Font - The music is set in Revere, a new typeface designed by Alan Talbot based on an earlier design he created for the Synclavier Music Engraving System.
