leafFX is a digital effects unit in software, which can work in real-time (with a certain amount of latency) or on WAV files.
Before you can use leafFX on a sound file, you may need to do some preparation. leafFX only supports uncompressed 16-bit 44.1kHz stereo WAV files; no other format is accepted. Once you have opened a WAV file you can add and adjust a list of effects (limited in number only by your processor) while listening to changes in real-time. Once you have the settings configured properly, you can then save the output back to a new WAV file.
