FX2 is a digital sound effects processor and virtual synthesizer which lets you combine, transform and generate sounds. You can use FX2 just for fun or as a serious tool for applications such as multimedia authoring, sound engineering, electronic music or teaching.

FX2 is incredibly flexible because it's programmable, so you're not limited to a pre-defined set of sound processing functions. You don't need to learn a programming language because sound effects and processing are specified graphically, you just connect processing tools by by drawing lines.

Registered FX2 users may also obtain copies of the FX2 external tools programming specification which allows programmers to write their own FX2 tools.
