CPS is a realtime programming environment for audio, MIDI and other media and I/O. Patches are built by placing and connecting objects. Areas of interest are sound design, algorithmic composition, DSP, electronic/computer music and education. CPS can be used in any realtime situation where sound plays a role.
CPS is based on MPEG-4 Structured Audio, a texutual synthesis toolkit, which is designed for realtime exchange of parameters through a network (through a bitstream). MPEG-4 Structured Audio is based on Csound. CPS objects implement MPEG-4 Structured Audio features exactly according to the standard.
Features
- Supports all MPEG-4 Structured Audio opcodes
- Huge number of objects which provide MIDI and audio input and output, fourier analysis, filtering, noise generation, envelopes and much more
- Plugin support allows DSP programmers to easily add their own platform independant modules
- Full undo/redo
