CD Worx is a program which can read all CD sectors in both cooked and
raw mode (that is it can make digital copy of CD audio tracks) under
Windows 95/NT and display read data in a window just like a hex-editor.
This data can also be saved as wave file or played directly in program
window.
The program has an extended Clipboard support, allows you to
manipulate wave sound data on the fly, can read and edit your CD track
lists, supports drag and drop ...
It is no DOS Box "utility" but a real Windows 32-bit multithreaded
application.
Features
- 100% jitter correction (synchronization) eliminates all intermittent ticks (pops and breaks) in the output and you always get an absolutely accurate reproduction of your CD.
- it's never been easier to select a certain range of digital audio before grabbing it; you can adjust and pre-hear your selection with a precision of ± 1 frame (1/75 sec).
- with the 'Start here'/'End here' button you can set the starting/ending points for grabbing while just hearing to your CD! when playing a selection you can quickly jump to any point of it by simply dragging the CD player's slider control.
- you can pre-hear only the first and the last few seconds of the selection made rather then waiting until the whole piece is played; in the loop mode your selection is played over and over again and while it plays you can keep on adjusting the starting/ending point as you like and hear the difference at once!
- CD track full names can be edited in-place. You right-click on a track in the list and choose 'Rename' in the pop-up menu, that's it. The track names you change will also be used by the Windows CD Player and of course they will be used for the resulting wave files.
- with a simple checkbox you can easily disable the annoying Windows AutoPlay feature on (only!) audio CDs, so the Windows CD Player won't interfere with CD Worx each time you change the CD.
- multifunctional context-sensitive right mouse button menus over the CD track list and in the programm window.
