CDQ Studio 8 is a multitrack recording and editing system for PC. Depending on the hardware, it is possible to mix up to eight 16-bit stereo tracks from 5kHz to 48kHz simultaneously.

- The mic, line or cd-input can be used as a recording source
- Master volume, stereo panning, volume curves (cross fades etc.) are rendered in real time during playback
- Capability to play other tracks while recording one
- MIDI can be used to synchronize recording and playback, and measuring the rythm of the performance

- Capability to calculate the highest amplification value so the final performance is as loud as possible while retaining its quality
