The Audioactive MP3 (MPEG Layer 3) software encoder is a fast,
high-quality audio solution for compressing audio files. With it,
you can fit fourteen hours of your favorite full-fidelity audio
on a single CD-ROM, provide high-quality audio on your website, or
attach compact audio files to your e-mails.
This advanced encoder uses enhanced MP3 compression to convert
PCM files into MP3, ASF, Shockwave and compressed WAV audio formats.
The encoding engine works two times faster than real-time on a
Pentium 166MHz at 16kbps. As a professional tool for encoding audio
to MP3, it converts to a wide range of bitrates: 256, 192, 160, 128,
112, 96, 64, 56, 48, 32, 24, 20, 18, 16, 8kbps. Cant decide? The
preview function allows you to listen to the audio sampled at the
specified compression rate prior to encoding. This feature is
particularly useful when utilizing the batch encoding capability.
Drag and drop the files to automatically add them to the encoding
list. Selected encoding properties can be applied individually or
to entire file groups.
Also included, MP3 Decoder that converts MP3 files back to
uncompressed PCM WAV files. The uncompressed WAVE files can then
be edited in editing systems or written to standard audio CDs.
