• Known Windows Issues:
  • Only the default sound card is supported so far; there is no way to switch between different input and output devices.
  • If you float the tool palette and minimize the program, the tool palette does not minimize along with the program. As a workaround, just dock the tool palette with a program window before minimizing.
  • If you view Spectrograms for a long period of time, your system may run out of graphics (GDI) memory, making it impossible for Audacity and other programs to draw to the screen properly. This appears to affect only some Windows systems and not others, but it is a serious bug and we are looking into it.
