AKoff Music Composer is multitrack MIDI sequencer. You can open MIDI files, play them, display the set of instruments used in the song, their volume and balance, change all these attributes and also record new tracks.
The interesting thing about AKoff Music Composer is that MIDI tracks aren't recorded from a MIDI keyboard but by real-time note recognition from the wave-in device on a sound card (microphone, CD, line). You can whistle, sing, play guitar, piano, flute etc. into a microphone and Composer will automatically recognize and score your music and create standard MIDI sequences. No MIDI keyboard and musical experience is required.
During recognition the recorded notes are automatically shown on the graphic keyboard in red color and are remembered in memory. After recording has stopped you can play the obtained melody. You can also select the instrument, change octave and try to correct musical scale.
